What is Filler Dissolving?
Filler dissolving involves injecting hyaluronidase, an enzyme that breaks down hyaluronic acid-based dermal fillers. It can be used to partially or fully dissolve suitable filler depending on your individual circumstances and treatment goals.

What to Expect
A consultation and medical assessment will be carried out before treatment. Where possible, information about your previous filler treatment, including the product used and when it was injected, is helpful.
Hyaluronidase is injected into the appropriate area to begin breaking down the hyaluronic acid filler. Some improvement may become apparent relatively quickly, although the response varies and more than one treatment may sometimes be required.
Swelling, redness, tenderness and bruising can occur following treatment. Temporary swelling can initially make it difficult to assess the final result, so the area should be allowed time to settle before deciding whether further treatment is required.
Important Information
Hyaluronidase can also affect naturally occurring hyaluronic acid within the treated area, although the body naturally replenishes hyaluronic acid over time.
As with any injectable treatment, filler dissolving carries potential risks and side effects. These will be discussed with you during your consultation and informed consent will be obtained before proceeding.
