Platelet Rich Plasma Therapy (PRP)

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy uses components derived from your own blood to support natural skin rejuvenation and hair restoration. PRP is rich in platelets and growth factors and can be used to improve skin quality, rejuvenate the under-eye area and support healthier hair growth in patients experiencing hair thinning.

What is PRP Therapy?

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy is a regenerative treatment that uses your own blood. A small blood sample is taken and processed using a centrifuge to separate and concentrate the platelet-rich plasma. The PRP is then used in the treatment area, where naturally occurring growth factors help support tissue repair and regeneration.

Because PRP is obtained from your own blood, treatment does not involve the use of synthetic dermal fillers.

PRP Facial

PRP can be used to support collagen production and improve overall skin quality. It is particularly suitable for patients looking to improve dullness, fine lines, texture and general skin rejuvenation.

PRP may be combined with microneedling or delivered directly into targeted areas depending on your individual treatment plan.

Under-Eye PRP

PRP can be used around the delicate eye area to improve skin quality and support collagen production. It may be suitable for concerns including fine lines, crepey skin and certain types of under-eye darkness.

Results develop gradually and suitability will be assessed during consultation, as not all causes of dark circles or under-eye concerns will respond to PRP.

PRP Hair Restoration

PRP is injected into targeted areas of the scalp to support the hair follicles and encourage healthier hair growth. It may be suitable for patients experiencing certain types of hair thinning or early-stage hair loss.

A course of treatments is usually recommended, followed by maintenance treatments where appropriate. Hair loss can have many causes, so an assessment is important before beginning treatment.

Treatment Course

The number of sessions required varies depending on the treatment area and your individual concerns. For optimal results, a course of approximately 3 sessions is commonly recommended, followed by maintenance where appropriate.

Downtime

Temporary redness, swelling, tenderness or bruising can occur following PRP treatment. When treating the scalp, mild tenderness may also occur. These effects are generally temporary.
