Sculptra
Sculptra is a collagen-stimulating injectable treatment designed to gradually restore facial volume, improve skin firmness and support a more refreshed, natural-looking appearance. Available at our nurse-led aesthetics clinic in Moseley, Birmingham, treatment is tailored to your individual facial structure and concerns.
Sculptra is a collagen-stimulating injectable treatment containing poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA). Rather than simply adding volume, it works by encouraging your skin to gradually produce more of its own collagen, helping to restore facial support, improve firmness and enhance overall skin quality.
Unlike traditional dermal fillers, Sculptra results develop gradually over several weeks and months, creating subtle, natural-looking rejuvenation rather than an immediate change.
Sculptra may help to:
Restore age-related facial volume loss
Improve skin firmness and elasticity
Soften the appearance of lines and folds
Improve facial contours and structure
Enhance overall skin quality
Provide gradual, natural-looking rejuvenation
Treatment areas: Sculptra is commonly used across the cheeks, temples and lower face, as well as other areas affected by facial volume loss. Treatment areas are selected following an individual assessment of your facial anatomy and concerns.
Treatment course: Most patients require approximately 2–3 treatment sessions, usually spaced around 6 weeks apart. The number of sessions and amount of product required will vary depending on your individual anatomy, degree of volume loss and treatment goals.
Results: Improvements develop gradually as new collagen is produced. Results can continue to develop over several months and may last up to two years or longer, although results vary between individuals.
Downtime: Mild swelling, redness, tenderness or bruising can occur following treatment and usually settles within a few days.
Aftercare: Following your Sculptra treatment, you will be advised to massage the treated areas for 5 minutes, 5 times a day, for 5 days. Full aftercare instructions will be provided at your appointment.
A full consultation and medical assessment will be carried out before treatment to determine whether Sculptra is suitable for you.
